Dan's ode to the Cat in the Hat

Dan reported on a woman who lives on an island and makes hats out of cats! The cats overrun the island so they are trapped and then the carcasses are given to the woman who makes the hats - a weird and icky story - but it inspired Dan to write a poem...


I sat there with Sally
we sat there we two
And I said how I wish
we have something to do

Then the frozen cat man
showed up at my door
I said we'll make hats
that will make spirits soar
Some will be Persian, some will be calico
Some will be old cats
that died quite a while!
