Roxy the Bullwhip

Roxy, age 2, a Brindle Bulldog-Whippet mix, adopted from the Animal Protective League by WDOK News Director, "Infoman" Jim McIntyre 12.20.06.

She escaped within the first 30 minutes at her new home, but found her way back.
What a sweetheart!

You have an interesting blog. Roxy is one lucky dog.

Congratulations Jim and Marge on your new Bullwhip! (love that name) Rescuing a pet is one of the most giving and satisfying things a person can do. Merry Christmas.

Good luck with Roxie. That was very kind of you. You said she didn't bark yet. We rescued two dogs years ago and they didn't bark for a few days until they felt at home. Then their real personalities came out. They were great. Have a Merry Christmas with her!!

Love hearing you talk about Roxy on the show. We recently rescued a little furbaby and couldn't begin to try to figure out what breed(s) she is!!! The vet described her as "not the best specimen", and he was being kind! She'll never win "Best of Show", but she's ours. I have a mug from the Berea Rescue that says, "They ask so little... they give so much". Ain't it the truth? Enjoy your new addition!

My rescue dog, Shelby took two weeks before she even barked. I never would have thought she would be a watch dog. Surprise! She is our main watch dog, all 35 lbs! Our larger (also a rescued dog) Toby, a 50 lb. black lab mix, usually lets her take charge and hangs back when strangers enter our home!
